SUFFER on the Steam Deck!

Hey friends!

I'm happy to announce that SUFFER works great on Valve's Steam Deck!

I've spent a bit of time updating the official artwork to support the Steam Deck and I feel pretty good about how it looks in my Library. There won't be any additional updates for this game as I've moved onto development of the sequel, but I'm happy to see new hardware bring life to this old game! The "pick up and play" nature of SUFFER's short, action-packed levels make it a great game to play on the go or just a quick level or two on the couch. I'm surprised by how well it plays with Valve's handheld controls, especially since I'm a keyboard/mouse kind of guy! It's been years since I've booted up the original SUFFER so I found myself pleasantly surprised by how I was sucked right back into the hectic gameplay. The speakers also blew me away, the basslines and guitar insanity sound surprisingly great coming out of this "little" handheld device. It's definitely a cut above a smartphone or laptop. I'm glad I invested in the Steam Deck, I've got nothing negative to say about it. I'm still in awe that my game, developed completely for the Windows platform and years before the Steam Deck was even announced, works without any development effort on my part. Truly amazing!

SUFFER plays so great on this bad boi that I plan on targeting this hardware specifically for SUFFER 2. I'll be looking at getting the UI artwork to support the 16:10 aspect ratio and possibly even tinker with the controls to take advantage of the Steam Deck's features. I'll keep you posted on SUFFER 2 soon, I promise! :)

As always, thank you so much for all of the support throughout the years. Making this game has been an awesome experience!
